Staten Island OutLOUD marks the 30th anniversary of Dorothy Day's death with a community gathering to read her memoir, "The Long Loneliness", on Sunday, November 14, at 3pm at Historic Richmond Town, 441 Clarke Ave, Staten Island NY 10306.
The event is free and open to the public. This event will be co-hosted by three Islanders who worked with Dorothy Day and enjoyed her close friendship: Kathy and Patrick Jordan of Rosebank, and Doris Nielsen of Elm Park.
This event made possible in part by a 2010 Creative Communities award from COAHSI, with public funding by the New York State Council on the Arts.
