I miss bagel stores, Real pizzeria's (BROTHERS) and the most of all, people. Being deployed makes you realize what home really means to you and it means the world to me. I love SINY!!
I miss the opportunity to go get a real pizza, bagel or knish..I really miss all my friends. I didn't think I would ever say this but I miss riding the ferry boat. Staten Island will always be my home town. I now live in Tennessee.
I miss the old straw aeats on the trains..I miss the friendliness and the security I used to feel. I miss alot of the open spaces, the Mom and Pop stores. Mostly I miss the people I knew who have left the Island.
