Ready for the next Staten Island Teaching Artist Institute? |
Tuesday, February 15th, 6:00 - 7:30 Information Session Held at the STATEN ISLAND MUSEUM 75 Stuyvesant Place, Staten Island If you can't make it, you can still apply for the training. Applications available Feb.3rd. Contact kkuwabara@statenislandarts.org or gmimozo@statenislandarts.org. People have been asking if we will be doing another Staten Island Teaching Artist Institute - we're delighted to say, the answer is YES! COAHSI, Sundog Theatre, and The Center for Arts Education will again be partnering to provide an intensive training for working artists to learn how to work in school settings. This is not a certification program, or a program for becoming a full-time teacher - this is for artists who wish to expand their practice to teach in schools. The training will be held over the course of four Saturdays beginning March 19th; followed by an internship intensive and a final community fair with organizations who hire teaching artists. Artists of all disciplines are welcome. This year we are especially looking for people in the performing arts - dancers, theater artists, and musicians. COME HEAR MORE! |
