From COAHSI

COAHSI

It's shoveling season and SHOW & TELL!
Are you spending way too much time shoveling?
Need a break from all that boring, back-breaking labor?
Then head on over to the Everything Goes Book Cafe!

COAHSI's hosting another great night of talented SI artists who want to share their work with you. Artists can show & tell about their work: music, dance, animation, poetry/prose, performance art, visual art, film, interactive art, and more!

Afraid of the stage? Just enjoy the experience, no pressure.

To sweeten the deal COAHSI gives you a free tea/coffee so you can relax and keep warm. Participating artists should bring samples of their work on cd/dvd or make sure they're web accessible. Open to artists of all disciplines, and non-art makers.

People have been asking if we will be doing another Staten Island Teaching Artist Institute - we're delighted to say, the answer is YES! COAHSI, Sundog Theatre, and The Center for Arts Education will again be partnering to provide an intensive training for working artists to learn how to work in school settings. This is not a certification program, or a program for becoming a full-time teacher - this is for artists who wish to expand their practice to teach in schools. The training will be held over the course of four Saturdays beginning March 19th; followed by an internship intensive and a final community fair with organizations who hire teaching artists. Artists of all disciplines are welcome. This year we are especially looking for people in the performing arts - dancers, theater artists, and musicians. COME HEAR MORE!
