From Snug Harbor

With the Education Department expanding at such a rapid pace, we need dedicated, responsible volunteers to assist our teachers during our weekday classes. The classes are not every day, but they are starting to be scheduled in abundance.

We need people who:

* are college age or older.
* are reliable.
* like working with elementary school children (although we are starting to get more high school students as well).
* are available morning hours during the week.
* can follow directions well.
* don't mind getting their hands dirty.
* can think on their feet.
* have a flexible schedule.
* have energy.
* are able to walk the grounds.
* aren't shy.
* are creative.
* are interested in the arts, science, nature, and culture.
* enjoy teaching but are willing to learn from others.

We're looking right now for between 5-10 volunteers to help out.
Please contact Kim Pinto, Education Coordinator at kpinto@snug-harbor.org and please put "VOLUNTEER DOCENT" in the subject line.
