Staten Island OutLOUD

Staten Island OutLOUD begins a new project for a new generation of readers: Paws & Read OutLOUD for Kidz, which kicks off on Friday August 6 and Friday August 13 at 1pm (on both days) at the Greenbelt Nature Center, 700 Rockland Ave, SINY 10314.  This program is free, and is open to Island youth ages 5-10, and their parents.

Paws & Read OutLOUD invites kids ages 5-10 to strengthen their skills and build confidence by reading aloud to an attentive, loving and non-critical audience: two gentle, kid-friendly licensed
therapy dogs!

Staten Island OutLOUD will provide a variety of age-appropriate poems and other short pieces, or kids can bring their favorites from home.

One of our host dogs is a kind-hearted boxer named
Sweetie Pie. She will be joined by Gracie, a dachsund princess.  Both dogs have served as therapy dogs in a variety of settings for several years.
